# FlipCards

> FlipCards is an open-source, gesture-controlled wallpaper changer for Android devices developed by EkaAi Technologies. By detecting horizontal shake and flip motions, FlipCards transitions seamlessly between curated wallpaper collections without user manual intervention.

## Core Capabilities

- **Gesture-Based Wallpaper Switching**: Switch home and lock screen wallpapers instantly with an intuitive horizontal device shake or flip gesture.
- **Smart Launcher Detection**: Uses Android `UsageStatsManager` to dynamically detect active home screen launchers (Pixel Launcher, Samsung One UI, Lawnchair, Nova, Niagara, etc.). Ensures wallpaper changes only occur while on the home screen, preventing disruptions inside applications.
- **Wallpaper Collections**: Organize wallpapers into custom themed collections with multi-image validation, fast activation toggles and sequential cycling.
- **Native Android Foreground Service**: Built with Kotlin (`FlipDetectorService`) adhering to Android 14–16 foreground service standards (`specialUse`). Includes reboot auto-restoration via `BootReceiver`.
- **Target Android 16 (API 36)**: Modern architecture with full adaptive icon support, monochrome themed icons and low battery consumption.
